roots were established in 1878. In the early 1900's, Willis Carrier
pioneered air conditioning as we know it today. Our connections with
Willis Carrier date back to these early days. Today's
custom air handling unit designs are derived from knowledge gained through
years of experience.
Custom air handling units established a
market niche in the mid 1950's. The custom air handling unit markets
continue to grow. Our Big Buffalo, Model K, and BA 2000 units serve
these markets that demand quality equipment.
The facility in Amherst, Virginia was built in
1977 to exclusively build air handling units. Today, produces units for many markets including pharmaceutical,
hospital and health care, chemical, telecommunication, semi-conductor,
biotech, institutional, pulp and paper, food, and automotive.

• Manufactures custom air handling units ranging in air flow from
500 CFM to 200,000 CFM. Units
are called Big Buffalo.
• Manufactures modular, standard air handling units which have specific
sizes and components,
ranging in air flow from 3000 CFM to 60,000 CFM.
Units are called Model K or BA 2000.
• Manufactures humidifiers such as wetted media, called Aerofils and
FinFils and sprayed coil
units, called PCLWs.
